(Truckee, CA) — Four people are injured after a man drove his car into a children’s fundraiser outside a Lake Tahoe-area store. It happened on Saturday afternoon next to the Safeway in Truckee. Adults and kids were selling beef jerky to raise money so their baseball team could go to Cooperstown. That’s when a suspect named Jonathan Maurer allegedly drove his car straight into them. Everyone is expected to recover. The 49-year-old suspect is now booked on several charges including assault with a deadly weapon.
