(Reno, NV) – The man who was fatally wounded in an officer-involved shooting last week has been identified. Officials with the Washoe County Coroner’s office say 27-year-old Michael L. Johnson died at the scene and his death was ruled a homicide. Johnson was shot several times by an officer at the Wells Avenue Bridge last Tuesday following a welfare check. The officer – who was not named – was released from the hospital a day later.
