(Truckee, CA) — The man accused of ramming his pick-up truck into a youth baseball team at a Safeway in Truckee now faces additional charges. Jonathan Maurer was initially charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon, but police have now added eight charges of attempted murder. The Tahoe Titans baseball team was conducting a fundraiser outside the store on Saturday, raising money for a trip to Cooperstown when Maurer allegedly committed the crime. He is in custody at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
