(Reno, NV) – Several schools across Northern Nevada are changing their schedules today as winter storm warnings and troubling road conditions mount.
All Washoe County School District schools are closed today.
Carson City and Storey County School Districts also have off today, while Bishop Manogue students will switch to virtual learning for the day.
The winter storm has also forced the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to cancel its Tuesday Mobile Harvest and the rescheduling of its event in Hawthorne until February 26th. Distributions are canceled at Sparks LDS, Virginia City and Hungry Valley. The storm has also led to chain controls across the state, including on parts of I-80, I-89, Mount Rose Highway and U.S. 50.
