(Reno, NV) — An assistant police chief in Reno resigned from his role on a separate commission as an investigation continues into several officers. Reno Police Chief Kathryn Nance and five other officers are now on leave. Officials at the city, county and state level have refused to provide much information about the investigation. Reno officials will only say the six people violated a city policy. So far, the other five officers have not been named. But now, Reno Police Assistant Chief Oliver Miller is stepping down from the Nevada Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission. No details about his sudden resignation are being released, but Miller remains a Reno Police employee.
