(Reno, NV) — Washoe County Commission Chair Alexis Hill is planning to run for governor of Nevada in 2026. Hill, a Democrat, says she will formally announce her campaign in the coming months. As it stands, her opponent in the Democratic Primary will be Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford. Hill was first elected to the Washoe County Board of County Commissioners in 2020. She will be trying to unseat Republican Governor Joe Lombardo
