(Black Rock City, NV) — The annual Burning Man festival is underway in Black Rock City. That means large crowds at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The busiest travel days are expected to be this coming Friday, Saturday and next Monday, September 1st, which is the last day of Burning Man.
Airport PIO Nicole Staten has a reminder about dropping visitors off.
Burners and staff spent part of the weekend repairing camps and art installations. That’s after strong winds and a dust storm moved through the area on Saturday. Black Rock City saw wind gusts of up to 45-miles-per-hour on Saturday night. No flood warnings are in place for the immediate area.
