(Sparks, NV) — Sparks will be buying land for a new City Hall campus. The Sparks City Council unanimously approved the ten-million-dollar purchase on Monday. The seven-point-eight-acre parcel of land is near the Sparks Marina. Councilmembers say the current City Hall campus, built in 1969, is having several issues. Those include air conditioning and heating problems. There are also issues with maintenance, along with employee and service vehicle parking, which also effects delivery services. And, the offices and meeting places are described as overburdened.
