(Reno, NV) — A man was arrested after Washoe County deputies say a baby tested positive for multiple controlled substances. Early Saturday morning, deputies responded to Renown Hospital for a 9-month-old who had tested positive for drugs. The child is reportedly in stable condition and recovering in the pediatric ICU. The child’s father, Dwayne Turner, reportedly fled the hospital when approached by medical staff but later returned and spoke with detectives. Turner was booked into the Washoe County Detention Center on charges of child abuse and neglect, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to register as a convicted person
