(Winnemucca, NV) — A college in Winnemucca has two-million dollars to help train the next generation of electric car workers. Great Basin College got the money from Nevada Tech Hub which allows it to hire teachers and lease a 10-thousand square foot building for teaching. The new industrial tech center plans to train 250 workers for careers dealing with the lithium ion battery supply chain. The college says it will help workers develop skills that are in demand in the clean energy tech sector.
