(Stateline, NV) — The Mayor of South Lake Tahoe is defending his behavior after a police video shows his arrest. Cody Bass was Mayor Pro Tem when he was arrested last month in Stateline, Nevada by Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies. The AleWorX bar and restaurant said he was violating a no-trespassing order. The video shows a confrontation between Bass and a doorman. He’s later seen being arrested after deputies took statements from both sides. Bass promises to fight the trespassing and harassment charges in court. Last week, he was appointed Mayor of South Lake Tahoe after the previous mayor resigned when she admitted that she embezzled money from a church.
