(Reno, NV) — Winds could hit 80 miles-per-hour over the next two days as a high wind warning is issued for the Reno-Tahoe region. Western Nevada and the Sierra will be hit with strong winds starting tonight, but the most intense gusts will happen tomorrow. Parts of Highway 395 could get 70-80 mile-per-hour gusts. Some mountain peaks might record 100 mile-per-hour gusts. Reno and Tahoe will each see gusts topping out at 45 miles-per-hour. Wednesday will see rain in Reno with snow above the eight-thousand foot level.
