From Reno Police Department:
(Reno, NV) — On November 16, 2025, at approximately 04:30 a.m., Reno Police responded to Saint Mary’s Hospital on the report of suspicious circumstances. On scene, officers learned that the adult female victim had been kidnapped, her wrists zip-tied together and she managed to get out of the suspect vehicle and escape with the assistance of a passerby.
Officers immediately began canvassing the area and detectives from the Robbery Homicide Unit responded and took over the investigation. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a black 2025 GMC Sierra was involved in the kidnapping.
Within 34 hours, on November 17th, 2025, detectives located the suspect vehicle and took 35-year-old Diego Ortega Noria into custody. Diego Noria was arrested for Second-Degree Kidnapping and False Imprisonment and booked into the Washoe County Jail.
Detectives believe the suspect may have targeted other potential victims in the past and are working to determine the full extent of the suspect’s actions. The Reno Police Department is asking the public to review the attached photograph of the suspect and his vehicle.
