(South Lake Tahoe, CA) — A Nevada woman was found guilty of stealing one-point-four million dollars from her employer across the state line in South Lake Tahoe. Federal prosecutors in California say Kami Elois Power was an office manager at a family-owned construction company from 2019 to 2023. Yesterday, the Feds say she was convicted of creating fake companies and bogus payments so she could steal money from her boss. Prosecutors say Power spent the money on homes, cars and luxury vacations. She could get decades behind bars when she’s sentenced.
