(Reno, NV) — Nevada U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen condemns the mass shooting at a Hanukkah event at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia over the weekend. The gunmen killed more than a dozen people and left another 40 hospitalized after they opened fire on a crowd. Senator Rosen offered her condolences to the Australian people and to the families and loved ones of those killed. Rosen added that she plans to continue the fight against antisemitism. Rabbi Mendel Cunin, director of the Chabad of Northern Nevada, said their hearts are broken for those killed in the shooting, but they will not be intimidated. The organization held its 26th annual City of Reno Menorah Lighting yesterday.
