(Carson City, NV) – Senator Jacky Rosen’s plan to bar tariffs on food and agriculture-based products stalls on the Senate floor. The Senator tried advancing her “No Tariffs on Groceries Act” through unanimous consent, but it received negative feedback from her colleagues. Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho was one member who scoffed at the bill, instead blaming former President Joe Biden’s administration for rising food costs. Rosen expressed disappointment in a statement, saying republicans are telling Americans that their kitchen table is not a priority.
