(Reno, NV) – An open meeting to discuss the future of the historic Lear Theater yields positive feedback. The now-vacant theater has been a fixture of Reno since 1938, and now residents are saying that it should be turned into a culture center or a performing arts venue. Councilmember Naomi Duerr said that could work, since there’s potential to add a raked – or angled – and retractable floor.
