(Reno, NV) – Nevada Highway Patrol officers are kicking off a statewide enforcement period, hoping to crack down on speeding drivers. The Joining Forces Speed Awareness Campaign runs through January 31. Troopers say speed is a major factor in most fatal crashes across Nevada. The Joining Forces Speed Awareness campaign is designed to increase public safety through coordinated, highly visible patrols across Nevada. The effort focuses on raising awareness, educating motorists and ultimately saving lives.
