(Reno, NV) — The owner of a Reno taco shop is going to prison after admitting he ran a retail theft operation. Jose Martinez-Aguilar is getting four years in the slammer for running a fencing operation right out of his restaurant on Virginia Street. The owner of Roberto’s Taco Shop would buy merchandise that was stolen from businesses on Virginia Street and then resell them. He was caught when an undercover agent sold him items from JC Penney and Home Depot that were made to look like they were stolen. A search of his taco shop and his home turned up thousands of stolen items.
