(Reno, NV) – A major winter storm is now about 48 hours away. Reno and Lake Tahoe are set to take a big hit. The first wave will arrive late Sunday and early Monday. Snow will continue to fall on and off until Thursday. Travel into the Sierra will be difficult and chain requirements are a guarantee. It’s possible multiple mountain roads will close. Reno will see a mix of rain and snow on Sunday and Monday, then the city will mostly see snow on and off through Thursday.
