(Carson City, NV) – The Nevada Supreme Court will allow the state’s lawsuit against Snapchat to proceed in a new ruling. The Court denied a writ petition appeal by the parent company of the social media app, allowing the case to move forward in state court. The state is alleging harms against children in its lawsuit. In a petition filed in March of last year, Snap Inc argued the platform should not be subject to litigation in Nevada courts on the grounds that it did not specifically direct its business toward Nevadans.
