Las Vegas Raiders? ESPN Says Yes

ESPN is reporting the Southern Nevada Tourism and Infrastructure Committee will meet on June 23rd,  and is expected to recommend the $1.4 billion stadium for the Raiders and UNLV over an expansion to the convention center. That recommendation will go to the governor and would be the next major milestone in the Raiders pursuit of Las Vegas.  But a favorable recommendation doesn’t guarantee the stadium project would be passed. Next up would be a special session of the state Legislature, which would need to approve the funding plan for the project, including $750 million in public money. The remaining money would come from the NFL and the Raiders and Sands Corporation.  NFL commisioner Roger Goodell though is working to keep the team in Oakland and says Las Vegas talk is premature.
