Congressman Mark Amodei says his declaration as a “No” vote on the GOP health care reform bill leaves him with a clear conscience. He says the bill just isn’t very good: it doesn’t lower costs or premiums, add choice or reduce deductibles, and it lacks the kind of real work needed to create a good bill. Amodei told KOH’s Dan Mason Show, calls and contacts he’s gotten about the ACHA, just in Congressional District 2, are 20-1 against the bill. He says he wasn’t going to go back to his district and say everything’s OK, when it isn’t.
