Reno City Council Chooses New Official Municipal Flag

The Reno City Council has chosen a design for a new official city flag. The design by Reno resident Tucker Stosic was chosen, with a star from the Reno Arch, the golden yellow depicting the high desert, and a blue stripe representing the Truckee River under the Sierra Nevada. In celebration of Reno’s 150th birthday, the Reno Arts and Culture Commission held two workshops on flag culture and design and had an open submission period for flag designs from November 30th through March 2, 2018. More than 200 submissions were received.
