Road Work Begins on Alt U.S. 395 Through The Washoe Valley

Single lane closures will begin today (Wednesday) on sections of Old U.S. 395 in Pleasant and Washoe valleys as the Nevada Department of Transportation resurfaces the roadway. Single lane closures will begin on Alt. 395 just south of Mt. Rose Highway. Over the coming months, the road work will progress south with daytime single lane closures in both directions of Alternate U.S. 395 through Pleasant and Washoe valleys. The lane closures will primarily take place Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Access to side roads and driveways will be maintained during construction. The project will resurface more than 16 miles of old 395 between Mt. Rose Highway and the Washoe County/Carson City line.
