Firefighters with the East Fork Fire Protection District in Douglas County say they have stopped progress of the James fire in the James Canyon area, north of Genoa. The fire is being held to about 260 acres, and is currently 30-percent contained. Officials say the fire appears to have started with heavy construction equipment at the site of a new house.
