Woman Jumps From Car to Escape Phony UBER Driver

Las Vegas Metro Police are looking into a woman’s claim that she was robbed by a fake Uber driver. KTNV-TV reports Elizabeth Martha Suarez ordered an Uber early Friday July 13th. Suarez says she got into the car matching the description of the ride she ordered at the pick-up area at Park MGM Las Vegas. She says she got a call from the real Uber driver soon after. Suarez says she tried to take a picture of the man behind the wheel. Suarez says she jumped out of the moving vehicle and called police after the driver allegedly got angry and took her purse, Police say they are investigating the incident as a robbery. There have been other reports of men stopping for women waiting for arranged rides, who aren’t really Uber drivers, and sexually assaulting them.
