The Nevada Department of Transportation has launched what it calls roadside landscape and aesthetics improvements on the South Meadows Parkway interchange underneath Interstate 580, including replacement of roadside weeds with native plants. Through next Tuesday, single-lane closures will take place on I-580 at South Meadows Parkway Sunday through Thursday between 8:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Future periodic overnight lane closures will also take place for construction, and drivers will see shoulder closures of interchange ramps and roadways. Drivers are advised to anticipate and yield to heavy equipment accessing the work site. Construction is anticipated to complete at the end of this year.
