The Reno Planning Commission considered a proposed city ordinance that would allow for more “accessory dwelling units” within city limits, sometimes called granny flats. It would allow homeowners to build smaller homes on their property. After more than four hours of discussion, the commission rejected the ordinance. The ordinance now goes onto the Reno City Council.
