Man Arrested After Barricading Himself Inside a Condemned Home

Reno Police have arrested a man who barricaded himself inside a house that was condemned the same day. 26-year-old Tim Wilson of Reno is charged with battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and a warrant for failure to comply with a court order. This all started the night of October 10th, when police were called to a home at McCloud and Fife Drive, northeast of Pat Baker Park. They were told a man had pointed a gun at two guests at his home, then left. Police were unable to find him that night. The morning of October 11, a neighbor called the Reno Code Enforcement Division to report leaking sewage in the back yard of the same home. Code Enforcement condemned the home and arranged for places to stay for two roommates of Wilson. Police determined Wilson was in the home, and using SWAT and a negotiator, took about three hours to talk him out.
