A schedule of events surrounding the inauguration of Nevada Governor-elect Steve Sisolak was released this week, along with a new website detailing the events. The swearing-in of Governor-elect Sisolak will take place Monday, Jan. 7 on the steps of the Nevada Capitol in Carson City. A variety of public, community events will take place leading up to and following the ceremony. In the days following the swearing-in, there will be a Southern Nevada Inaugural Gala at the Aria Resort & Casino on Friday, Jan. 18, and a Northern Nevada Inaugural Gala at Reno’s Grand Sierra Resort on Thursday, Jan. 24.
