Truckee Meadows Water Authority is deferring a rate increase, set to go into effect in May. They say the decision by the TMWA board of directors was due to a positive financial financial position based on high water sales, during unseasonably warm summers. The current plan is to instead raise rates 2.5 percent in May 2020. But funding plans are reviewed every year and that is subject to change.
