Sparks Police and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office are assisting Reno Police with an officer-involved shooting investigation in south Reno. Reno Police say they were called about 9AM to reports of a trespasser at the McDonald’s on South Meadows. That investigation led to a walking path near the Latitude Apartments on Double R Boulevard, where an officer and a suspect were both wounded. Police say the officer has potentially life-threatening injuries. The officer and suspect have been taken to a hospital.
