The Haunting Sounds of Halloween at Nightingale Concert Hall Thursday

The haunting sounds of Halloween will fill the air, as the Reno Wind Symphony performs spooky themed musical selections at Thursday’s “Witches Brouhaha.” The members of the wind symphony will be wearing their favorite costumes, and the audience is encouraged to do the same. Conductor Mac McGrannahan says the musicians like to “out-do” each other with their costumes.

This concert will feature the movie music of Danny Elfman, including Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride and Beetlejuice. Other musical highlights will include the Overture to the Addams Family Musical and Selections from Wicked, the Broadway musical. Tickets are $10, $5 for seniors (65 and older). All students will be admitted FREE with their school ID card. It’s 7:30 to 9:30 at Nightingale Concert Hall, 1664 North Virginia Street.
