The Carson City Sheriff’s Office was investigating a pedestrian versus vehicle crash when a deputy vehicle was hit by another car. Tuesday afternoon deputies say a woman driving a blue SUV when she hit a 60-year-old man at Long and Carson Street. He was care flighted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident. While deputies were blocking the road surrounding the accident, another car hit one of the parked deputy vehicles and left the scene. Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the hit-and-run.
