Man Arrested For Stealing Deputy’s Vehicle in South Lake Tahoe

A man got into to a deputy’s patrol vehicle in South Lake Tahoe and drove away. He was caught 50 miles away. Eldorado County investigators say Jacob Wolfe was wearing a sheriff’s baseball cap when he was arrested in Placerville. The SUV went missing from the parking lot during a shift change at the sheriff’s substation in South Lake Tahoe. Wolfe was stopped when Placerville police deployed a spike strip to disable the tires. No sheriff’s equipment was missing.
