Sparks police cited a driver involved in an accident with a bicyclist. It was reported just after 6pm yesterday in the area of Pyramid Highway and McCarran Boulevard. Investigators say the vehicle was headed east on McCarran, then turned south onto Pyramid, hitting the 11 year old bicyclist. The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver was cited for a misdemeanor right of way violation.
