A Heavenly Mountain Resort employee who died on the expert trail in Mott Canyon on Saturday, January 18th, has been identified as 36-year-old Christopher John Nicholson of South Lake Tahoe. Heavenly called it a “serious incident”, but no details were immediately available. Nicholson was transported to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City for emergency care where he was pronounced dead. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Washoe County Coroner’s Office are working to determine cause of death.
