Not Everyone Loves New Appeals Court

NOT EVERYONE IS PLEASED WITH THE NEW APPEALS COURT – The new appeals court committed an unethical act, when they rejected a lawsuit against the Governor, a former Attorney General, and members of the state prison system. That’s according to Tonja Brown, an “Innocence advocate” who says the dismissal was improper, because all members of the court were appointed by a potential defendant– the Governor. She says because they were not elected by the people, they have an obvious conflict of interest in the case. Brown is suing the state for a breach of a settlement agreement she made in the wrongful death suit against the prison. She discovered former Nevada Attorney General’s Catherine Cortez Masto’s office withheld evidence from her brother Nolan Klein’s federal lawsuit, and that affected the outcome, and his possible parole. Klein died in prison, maintaining his innocence.
