Patient Dumping Case Settled – San Francisco supervisors have agreed to accept $400,000 from Nevada, to settle psychiatric patient dumping allegations. San Francisco sued Nevada in 2013 after patients were discharged from a psychiatric hospital in Las Vegas, and given bus tickets to California.  San Francisco’s city attorney said 24 people with no prior connection to the city had been bused there over a five-year period, 20 needed medical care.
