A man shot and killed himself in the emergency department of a hospital Tuesday. Lander County deputies say they responded to Battle Mountain General Hospital. They were told there had been gunfire and a man was down.  An unresponsive 59-year-old Battle Mountain man was found in the lobby of the emergency department.  No other shots were fired and no other injuries were reported. An apparent suicide note was found in the man’s vehicle outside the emergency department.  His name has not been released.
