Fresh off the GOP National Debate in Las Vegas, Republican presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson traveled to the state’s capital Wednesday afternoon. Carson held a rally at the Carson City Community Center, where more than 400 people listened to his plans for the presidency. Claiming to be unconventional and a non-politician, his speech was filled with anecdotes of his humbling past and third-person references. Carson started his campaign strong, but has slipped in the national polls, trailing Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.
Carly Fiorina headlined a discussion for the Americans for Prosperity Road to Reform at the Atlantis Casino. The former Hewlett-Packard chief executive called herself a tested leader and stated that Politicians talk while Leaders act.
Tea Party firebrand, Rand Paul also spent time in Northern Nevada yesterday. Speaking to around 100 people at the Washoe County Republican Headquarters, Paul talked at great length about privacy here in the U.S., saying the government is too interested in collecting a lot of information for average citizens rather than from terrorists.
Fiorina and Paul will be guests on the Thursday edition of The Dan Mason Show today at 3 o’clock
