The Sparks City Attorney’s office says a Sparks man has been sentenced for stealing Christmas packages from a front porch. Arthur Flintroy pleaded guilty Thursday in Sparks Municipal Court to one count of petit larceny. Assistant City Attorney Thomas Wilson, noting that Flintroy has two prior felony theft convictions, argued for the stiffest jail sentence allowed for a misdemeanor. Judge James Spoo agreed and sentenced Flintroy to six months jail, a $500 fine and restitution. The theft took place December 9th at a house in the Tanglewood Drive area.
