Governor Brian Sandoval signed four bills into law approving a $335 million deal that will pave the way for electric automaker Faraday Future to build a manufacturing plant in North Las Vegas. The governor held a brief ceremony at the Nevada Capitol late Saturday afternoon congratulating legislators for approving the laws during a four-day special session. The bills approved Saturday authorize $215 million in tax breaks, and approve $120 million in infrastructure improvements near Faraday’s planned factory. The factory is expected to employ 4,500 workers and create another 9,000 indirect jobs.
