An armed man who barricaded himself in a downtown motel came out without incident.  The situation began around 4:15pm on Wednesday, at Cheryl’s Motel and Apartments on Evans Ave.  Officers were responding to a report of a civil problem between neighbors when one of the neighbors, 67 year old Graham Bishop, came to the door with a gun.  Bishop did not point the gun at officers, but shut the door and began making threats towards the officers.  SWAT and The Mobile Outreach Safety evacuated the building and spoke with Bishop over the telephone, and after a brief standoff, Bishop came out of his apartment and was placed into custody.  He was transported to the Washoe County Jail without further incident and charged with Harassment and Resisting Officers with a Firearm.
