Snowpack at Mt. Rose is at about 110 percent of average for this date, a positive reading after several years of drought. Jeff Anderson of the Natural Resources Conservation Service measured 54 inches of snow depth and nearly 16 inches of snow water equivalent, which is how much water melted snow would yield.  That’s about 110 percent of average, and above the 60 percent reading at this time a year ago.
