New sports fields for baseball, softball, soccer and possibly football could be coming to North Valleys Regional Park. It is part of an estimated $2.2 million improvement plan between the Washoe County and the City of Reno. Washoe County has $1.2 million dollars from water rights it sold from Sierra Sage Golf Course. The other million dollars would come from the City.  The city hopes the new park expansion will free up development at other parks.
