Governor Brian Sandoval has announced the U.S. Department of Interior will invest $39.1 million from the sale of public lands to fund more than 40 projects across Nevada. These funds will improve recreation areas, reduce the risk of wildfires, enhance conservation efforts, and support wildlife habitat. Twelve million dollars will be spent on acquiring environmentally sensitive land, around 6 million will go to fuel reduction projects, and 5 million will improve parks and trails.
