The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning shooting that left one person dead. The shots were first reported around 12:30 this morning, in the area of Windridge and Spooner Drive. As deputies arrived on the scene of the shooting, a man with a gunshot wound to the stomach arrived at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. The victim was in critical condition and transported to Renown by Care Flight, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 2 am. Officials say it is believed this is a drug deal gone wrong. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.  The victim’s name has not been released.
