The Nevada State Board of Transportation approved Ames Construction, as the contractor to build the USA Parkway extension connecting Interstate 80 and U.S. 50. Ames Construction was determined to be the “best value” bidder, after a review of both the technical and price proposals. The company proposed the lowest price of approximately $75.9 million, two million lower than the next runner-up, and the second lowest technical score. Ames Construction also proposed a construction schedule of a month shorter than the next shortest timeframe.
